John Sweeney PT, DPT, OCS is a 1982 graduate of Temple University with a BS in physical therapy and a 1987 graduate of the University of Virginia with a masters degree in Sports Medicine. He completed his clinical doctorate degree in physical therapy at Temple University in 2010. He is an APTA board certified Orthopaedic Specialist. John has many years of clinical experience in a variety of physical therapy settings including general orthopedics, sports medicine, home care, inpatient rehabilitation, and athletic event coverage. He is a member of the APTA, as well as APTA specialty sections including private practice and orthopedics. He resides in Eastern Montgomery County, PA and has a lifelong interest in a variety of recreational sports.
Mary Whalen, PT, M.Ed., has been a practicing physical therapist for over 30 years in a variety of clinical settings, treating patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions in both in-patient, out-patient and home-care settings. She received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and her M.Ed. in Health with a concentration in gerontology from West Chester University, West Chester, PA. Mary has also been a student of yoga for the past 8 years and is pursing her 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in Massachusetts to become a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Claire Brown is our Office Manager and has been part of our staff since 2001. She is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to assist our patients with scheduling appointments, insurance questions, electronic medical records, and any other issues they may need help with.
Tara Murphy has been working for John since 2004 as a Physical Therapy Aide on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tara has her B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University. She enjoys working with the patients and seeing them make progress through therapy.
Joe Drum manages the front desk and helps with patient care on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He will be attending physical therapy school at Thomas Jefferson University starting in the Fall of 2010.
Katie Logano is a physical therapist aide, assisting with patient care on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Katie is also a personal trainer at Philadelphia Sports Club at Highpoint. She plans on continuing her education at Gwynedd Mercy in the Fall of 2010 for a degree in Nursing.
